For selective color photos, I put 2 pictures on top of each other in photoshop. Make the top photo B&W, bottom is color. Make the B&W into a layer mask and use the paint brush tool to erase and make colorful.

Tessellations
A tessellation of a flat surface is the tiling of a plane using one or more geometric shapes, called tiles, with no overlaps and no gaps. In mathematics, tessellations can be generalized to higher dimensions and a variety of geometries. A periodic tiling has a repeating pattern. What I did to create this photograph, was open up a circular template, using the magic wand tool to select an area of the circle to copy, drag it into another photo, hit control + c and go back to the circle photo and hit control + v. I then pasted the same photo but in the opposite direction. Do that until the circle is complete. Some struggles that came along with this project, was sometimes how weird the circle looked. it was fixable by adjusting the size of the slices. I'm proud of this project because of how lucid and 'trippy' it looks. it appeals to the eye in unimaginable ways and can come out really cool.
